I recently purchased a used truck at deery Brothers. I dealt directly with Sean, who is constantly improving his salesmanship skills to make his grandmother proud. I learned this in conversation, waiting on paperwork. Sean was patient with any complaints or concerns I had. I'm sure my wife had him wishing we'd leave at one point or another. I had a mostly positive experience. Lacking 1 star isn't bad by any standard. My 1 complaint is financial. There just wasn't any room to come down on the used truck or to come up on my trade-in. Yes, that's typical at a dealership, but these are the highest interest rates I've ever financed under. Every dollar counts. Deery management, take care of your sales team. They were standing out in the cold, waiting for me to splash them with a puddle. I believe compensation is in order.

I'm writing this review 13 months after purchasing a 2016 Lincoln mkc with 51k miles. It has been a nightmare! During test drive I noticed heated seats weren't working was aggressively assured it was just warming up, never have worked, there was no code given to me and sticker is gone so never been able to use keyless entry, locking lug nuts were put on the car, no key came with and had to spend $86 to get them off. I called regarding these issues and was just given the "sold as is" speech. I just spent $2,336 on replacing all 4 "brand new" tires (3 of 4 were all unmatching brand and tred) , 3 parts they had claimed to have just replaced, alignment, and labor. And the "free" oil change I was told would be honored at my local dealership was in fact not free or honored. For spending nearly $25k on this vehicle I would warn anyone to steer clear if you expect any post sale assistance or customer service!

Ashley, Sorry to hear you have had some maintenance issues with your vehicle. Deery Brothers does not offer "free" oil changes. After reviewing the paperwork from your purchase you did purchase a pre-paid maintenance agreement so unless you canceled this service plan your oil changes and tire rotations can be performed at Deery Brothers Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in Iowa City and you are eligible for reimbursement if you paid for this service at a Deery location. Regarding any other issues it appears you indicated your understanding of the terms of the sale of the vehicle being sold "As-Is" with your signature on four different forms. You also indicated your intention to not to purchase an extended service agreement to cover non-wear repairs on your vehicle with your signature. We have found it to be best practice to be right up front regarding the terms of the sale by having customers indicate their understanding with their signature in multiple locations. If you would like to be provided with copies of anything you signed please contact the dealership and they will be provided.

This would be a 1-2 star However, the cars sales man was decent and the younger financial rep was very pleasant, informative, and laid out all of our options clearly. I don’t remember his name but had an accent he was just great. He’d get 5 stars if it was just about him. We bought 2019 Silverado. We drove 2.5 hours to look at this truck. Truck had less than 1/4 tank of gas. We asked if they could fill it or at least put enough gas in it to get us home. They stated that they only do that for new vehicles and not used. The price tag on that truck was more than some of the new vehicles on that lot. Also, the miles on the listing was way less then when we showed up like a 7k mile difference. That shoulda have been the first red flag for us to just walk. We ended up buying the truck. Less than 30 days post purchase the oil needed changed and 45 days post purchase the engine air filter needed changed. I don’t put many miles on this vehicle it’s to work 10 miles away and back. Sensors don’t work either on the vehicle but that’s on me for not checking it out more thoroughly. I will not recommend this dealership to anyone. They knew how far we had traveled my car was 1/2 tank or more. And then to refuse to even match what was in my tank or fill it just enough to get us home was very disappointing. I feel like a tank of gas is a very common practice for dealerships never not had a dealership give me a full tank until I went to this one.

Wendy Miller was wonderful to work with. I was in the market for a very particular trim of the Spark, and Deery Bros had it. I contacted them on a Friday afternoon, and had an appointment for 8am the next day. Wendy explained everything about the vehicle to me, took me on a test drive that allowed me to see how the car handled on hills, the freeway, and on city/suburban streets. After I decided to purchase the car, she also clearly explained more of the electronic features of the car I wasn't familiar with. Deery gave me a very fair amount for my trade, and I will be recommending them and doing business with them again.

Was not happy with service. When I called to make appointment I was told oil change was 60 tire rotation was 10 but when I checked out my bill was 100. Then when I pulled out into the road I heard a terrible rattle. I came right back to tell the guys that had checked me in and checked me out about it. One kept saying well I don't hear anything and I started to feel like he was implying that it was only in my mind, finally the other one finally heard it and found the crossbar that was loosened to undo the nut to change oil was not tightened back up. But I do appreciate the one guy who did listen.

UPDATE: I would like to update this to say that the Service manager reached out to me and apologized for the way I was treated and sent a gift card to cover my next oil change & tire rotation for free. Of course, it's yet to be seen if I can actually make the appointment! ;) Thank you Deery of WB! If I could leave 0 stars I would!! We purchased our 2021 Equinox at Deery and had a GREAT experience with Craig(he went above & beyond!!). This review is for the "Service" department! I attempted to make an appointment for an oil change online. Apparently though, the online appointment maker doesn't work. I showed up for my appointment and there was no record of it being made. So while I was there, I made a new appointment, face to face, with the man in the service bay. I never got a confirmation, so the day of the appointment, I called to confirm (messages get crossed, maybe I missed it). The woman who answered treated me like I was five!! I asked to confirm, she said she didn't see anything for that time. Then she asked if I had made it online and that if so it isn't working. No, I made it face to face. She proceeded to tell me again that if I had made it online it wasn't working. I said, again, No, I made it face to face. She kept repeating the online speech. I stopped her and told her that I had tried making the original appointment online but learned the hard way that it didn't work so I made a new appointment face to face with the man in the service bay. She went into the same "our online appointment maker doesn't work" schpeel. After about the fifth time hearing the same thing, and not getting anywhere, I told her nevermind I would take it somewhere else(and I did, and guess what, I made the appointment ONLINE). She was rude, and didn't listen when I tried to explain my frustration.

Ripoff fees and repair prices! These scammers charged me $160 to read a code as a diagnostic fee. Their repair estimate was $350 higher than two other repair shops in town and the Derry repair tech quoted me a higher price for one repair if I was not doing other unrelated service as well. Since google does not let me respond, I will add a reply here. Regarding your response that I “signed” for the diagnostic and misc fees you added, it’s a lie. I never signed for anything before the service because I dropped off the keys in the overnight box the night before. I didn’t fill out any repair paperwork because the drop box had no paperwork or even a pen, I had to write my info on a scrap piece of paper. I didn’t physically come in until picking up and paying for your rip off, unapproved fees…after I declined your ridiculously high repair costs. Even paying your almost $300 bill for just getting a $70 oil change done, I still came out ahead by GOING SOMEWHERE ELSE, so no…I don’t think anything you offer is a value, you are a dishonest and overpriced repair facility.

Jason, After seeing your review we reviewed your repair order from your visit to the dealership. You indicated your approval to have diagnostics performed on your vehicle for the charge of $160 with your signature. This practice is to ensure we have authorization to perform the diagnostics on customer's vehicle and they know the cost right up front before any work is performed. Regarding the price of repairs as a factory authorized repair facility we not only have factory trained technicians we also have factory authorized/provided equipment that you will not find at independent repair facilities. This training and equipment will typically ensure your vehicle is repaired not only timely but properly to factory specifications. Along with every service we also offer free fluid top off, battery health check, alignment check, 27 multi-point inspection, and automatic car wash and vacuum. I am sure when you take all of the additional services along with factory trained technicians and equipment you will find the pricing more than fair.

I did a little bussiness with tia dealer. After dealing with the manager a few days. I found out for my self the guys was a tool. A liar not a man of his word. I wouldn’t buy from this guys or dealer. We transported a salvage car for them. Same car you see in the picture. Once we arrived manager told us unload here. We will get you a check. In fact it was a lie. No check was given to us. Car was dropped same car they will fix up and sell you as new . Truck doesn’t run is completely recked. We didn’t get paid and they have their truck . Very very dishonest folk. Been doing this 15 years never had to deal with a man who didn’t value his word

Eduardo, Had you read the bill of ladling you would have known the check would not be ready as you brought the vehicle at 7:00pm three hours after the accepted delivery time on the bill of ladling you signed. You were ask to leave after you became belligerent in the showroom. We will not be using your services again after your unprofessional display and failure to read the bill of ladling that you signed regarding drop off times that clearly state drop off between 9:00am and 4:00pm as that is when our staff is available to inspect the vehicles and our office is open to present the check for services rendered.

This was the first time that I have purchased a vehicle from Derry Brothers. My experience was awesome. I was helped immediately upon entering and felt welcome. Jay the sales person that helped me through the process brought me exactly what I asked for. Searching for the perfect first car for my son I visited many dealer websites all over the country. As a business owner myself, I can’t express enough how “way above” Deery Brothers as a buying experience is from others. Their communication, quality of email information and pictures, my entire experience was incredible. It started with Brandi who was immediate and helpful to go to the lot and check many details in the car as though I were there in person. She was so kind and personal which was completely unlike the other dealerships I had encountered. Then Jake worked up more details to our sale going way above and beyond to make sure he personally handled our needs - he and I were even able to text on a weekend when we both had games our kids played in. Finally, Kevin in finance closed up the money details in an entertaining and expedient way. I can not say enough about Jake, Brandi, Kevin and the experience here. We’re from Oklahoma and towed home the perfect vehicle for my son (Jake even had an experienced loader help us make sure every strap was right). Can not recommend this place enough. INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE! LOVE THESE FOLKS!

I will never do business with Deery again.. Had an appointment to get headlights replaced due to being to dim to drive at night. A class action lawsuit of Suarez vs Nissan said that a one time replacement would be made. I was told that my lights did not need replaced. Not sure how they can determine that at 9 o'clock in the morning. How about driving it after dark. Seems like that would be a more accurate test.

Terry, The inspection was conducted according to the guidelines provided to our master certified Nissan technician by the manufacture. The inspections requires lines of darkness to show in your headlights to fall under the special warranty provided by Nissan. The technician was easily able to see your headlights did not show any of the symptoms while he had it in his bay in the shop. If your vehicle did show these lines we would then to have needed to get a Nissan representative involved to confirm they would pay to replace your headlights as the manufacturer may not replace your headlights due to the salvage title on your 2013 Nissan Altima. Depending on why your vehicle is a salvage title the headlights may have already been replaced and may not be Nissan Genuine parts. Sorry we did not do an acceptable job of communicating all of this information. If you would like to discuss further Terry Mertens, our general manager, would be happy to visit with you.

My family and I just purchased a vehicle from Deery Brothers in West Burlington. We used Eric Rios as our sale rep and he was fantastic along with everyone else at dealership. We found our car online and needed to make sure it had the right HD Towing Package for our camper. Eric went above and beyond taking pictures of the transmission cooler and other features, as well as doing his own research to make sure it was the exact vehicle we needed. The dealership again went above and beyond and delivered the vehicle to our home, over 2 hours away. I highly recommend Eric and Deery Brothers in Burlington for anyone who is looking to purchase a new vehicle.

Dealership is price gouging and taking advantage of potential customers at this time. They are not a fair and honest dealership and should be ashamed that they are trying to see cars over 10K MSRP. They is going to put the client in very bad positions financially. I would not recommend doing business with this dealership and will be filling a claim with the BBB in regards to unfair business practices.

Brandon, We are sure you are finding higher than average market do to limited availability of inventory. Please understand our dealership and dealerships all across the nation would much rather offer more inventory for less money per unit as it is a much healthier business model in the long run. In other words if the dealership would receive ten 2022 Toyota RAV4 Primes from the manufacturer and have a guarantee we would receive replacements from the manufacturer we certainly would offer all ten vehicles for the manufacture suggested retail price or even less as the dealership benefits from selling and servicing more units at smaller profit per unit and still remains profitable. However as I am sure you have found in your search the manufactures are not providing enough inventory to replenish supply so we are forced to sell less inventory for more per unit at this time.
